Virginia ABC is seeking a Senior .NET developer with a passion for software development. The successful candidate will provide technical consulting or leadership on complex projects while leveraging the latest technologies. The candidate is responsible for gathering business requirements, program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. The candidate will have full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. The primary responsibilities of this position will revolve around Virginia ABC’s site abc.virginia.gov. The developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of software solutions.   • Solid understanding of HTTP, HTML and current web development designs and practices
  • Experience with unit and automated UI testing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine the root cause of .NET related issues
  • Experience with high-volume web architecture at both software and infrastructure level
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment
  • Demonstrated competency in verbal and written communications and interpersonal understandings
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out and understand customer issues and business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to handle deadlines and pressures to complete assignments
  • Demonstrated competency in logical and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated self-control under pressure and a self-starter while maintaining high standards for accuracy
  • Flexibility to meet deadlines and respond to urgent requests
