SummaryYou will serve as a ASSISTANT OPERATIONS OFFICER in the Department of the Navy of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.ResponsibilitiesPerforms special project tasking's and other assignments as directed by the Commanding Officer or unit leadership. Initiates procurement requests, monitors contracts throughout the life cycle, and ensures the unit receives reliable and efficient services after contract award. Uses qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and evaluate a variety of complex narrative and statistical information and data and develops timely and executable plans of action to meet intended objectives. Performs initial acquisition planning duties relative to procurement of a full range of services, including training and services contracts. Prepares and assists with the annual Budget Estimate Submission (BES), prepares and inputs financial requirement to the Program Objective Memorandum (POM), and monitors and administers the overall funding requirements for the assigned unit. Coordinates the financial requirements for the unit. Provides administrative support to unit personnel.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Supporting maritime operations, training, organization, and resource requirements; 2)Monitoring contracts throughout their life-cycle; 3)Coordinating and supporting training events and exercise; 4)Coordinating Joint military operations conducted in a joint, combined, and interagency environment; 5)Providing worldwide logistical planning for exercise and operations, and coordinating transportationsystems and identifying logistical concerns for travelers.
