Location: Shelton, WA

Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:15 PM

We are seeking a highly energetic full-time fiberglass laminator, with emphasis on positive attitude, teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to quickly learn!

Individual must be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to successfully handle multiple pressing priorities with a positive, can-do attitude.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Laminating layers of fiberglass on molds to form Transformer Box Pads, Ground Sleeves and other utility products

Selecting pre-cut fiberglass mat, cloth, and bracing materials, according to model number of product

Placing layers of mat and cloth in mold and smoothing out wrinkles by hand

Trimming excess material from mold, using hand shears, mixing catalyst into resin and saturating cloth and mat with mixture, using brush

Working saturated mat and cloth into shape of mold with hands and roller, to remove air bubbles and smooth surfaces

Bonding reinforcing strips to select lids and large boxes, using resin-saturated fiberglass

Cutting hardened fiberglass from mold with trimming knife.

Spraying chopped fiberglass, resin, and catalyst on mold, using pneumatic spray gun with chopper attachment

Removing large and oversize products from mold

Inspect, clean, and assemble molds prior to start of work

Apply wax to surface of mold to facilitate assembly and removal of laminated parts

Apply resin to surfaces of mold prior to placement of fiberglass mats

Proper use of personal protective equipment at all times

Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

This career is rated as highly physically demanding! Requires the use of extensive safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, full face respirator, gloves, full-body jump suits, and more to protect you from exposure to any hazardous elements that may be present.

- Experience in fiberglass lamination or composite materials is preferred not required

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance, 100 lbs. with assistance, and standing, moving, and bending for extended periods of time

- All employees may be subject to random drug testing
