Are you a recent law school graduate looking to work with experienced attorneys and paralegals who will give you opportunities to further your legal career? If so, we are looking for you! Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Compensation:

$60,000 - $75,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
  • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

  • Complete formation and exemption of nonprofit organizations, working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
  • Keeping files organized and clients updated about the progression of their matters
  • Ensuring clients' foreign registrations are current and maintained
  • Estate Planning (experience in practice or coursework is a huge plus!)

Qualifications:

  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam

  • Experience with any practice management software (Clio preferred)
  • Tech Savvy
