Overview

Position: Merchant Risk Analyst

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Organizational: This position is a member of the Merchant Management team and will report to the Director, Merchant Risk.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform daily investigations on merchants that use the GreenSky lending program
  • Analyze merchant activities to identify risks and make risk mitigation recommendations based on complaints, credit quality, reputational risk, and credit reports
  • Analyze tax returns and other financial statements in order to assess merchant solvency
  • Conduct internal and external complaint analysis to determine severity and trends (e.g. BBB, Yelp, CFPB)
  • Delivers investigation results and adverse actions to merchants that are non-compliant
  • Provide excellent customer service within established Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Shifts: Shifts vary, and cover hours from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, Monday - Friday. Shifts are primarily 9 hours with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. Analysts may on occasion be required to work on a weekend.

Organizational: This position is a member of the Merchant Management team and will report to the Director, Merchant Risk.Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across various lines of business
  • Self-starter who can work independently, demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills, and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to understand risk implications of financial products
  • Ability to identify issues, problem solve, and execute remediation/solution without errors
  • Experience with financial measurements and metrics (basic math skills)
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, particularly Excel, Pivot Tables, VLookup

Desired but not required Qualifications

:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Educational and/or professional background in Fraud Risk/Investigation/Commercial Underwriting experience
  • Familiarity with consumer and commercial lending products and practices
  • Healthcare experience in billing or collections
