Senior Director of Cloud and DevOps is responsible for providing strategical and tactical technology leadership for our Infrastructure-as-Code, SRE and QAOps teams. This position will collaborate with all parts of our organization to drive expansion of our cloud platform. The successful candidate will still be able and willing to dive into code, figure out solutions to complex problems, while engaging with business partners to deliver the right technical solution. You will be leading efforts in design, implementing and maintain processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and resistance of our cloud platform as it continues to grow.

What You ll be Doing
  • Lead a geographically distributed team of Cloud Operation and DevOps engineers in a highly agile development environment, focused on efficient operations, best practices and continuous improvement of automation, monitoring, alerts and tools.
  • Define and execute strategy for scalable cloud infrastructure and processes. Own and manage the stability, availability, and performance for our cloud platform
  • Own end to end automation of cloud infrastructure
  • Design, implement and maintain application analytics & dashboards to measure and track reliability.Define, track and report on system availability as well on progress of reliability and stability initiatives.
  • Create and maintain performance monitoring, automated alerting, self-healing resiliency into our platform
  • Collaborate with product development teams to empower them to move quickly in a predictable manner, while delivering quality releases with high system uptime and reliability.
  • Assume an advisory role within change management process to ensure all changes adhere to defined policies and keep with SLAs.
  • Continuously research and enhance security posture for our cloud platform in the highly audited environment.

What You ll Bring to the Table
  • 10-12 years of experience in engineering, architecting and delivering technology solutions.
  • 7+ years of leading teams focused on building large scalable cloud platforms and site reliability engineering (AWS preferred, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Hands on experience designing and executing deployment and automation solutions on public clouds with high availability in mind, tending to large variety of the underlying technologies (.NET, Java, Angular, etc)
  • Deep expertise with cloud operations and change management processes
  • Experience with acquiring, moving, processing, and reposing PHI, PII, PCI and other sensitive data with the appropriate alerting, monitoring auditing to adhere to company policies.
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple products in production, pre-prod, quality, performance, and development environments with varying technologies and lifecycles
  • Strong experience with agile software development techniques, developer driven testing, and highly automated test environments
  • Experience with operating system scripting, programming languages, agile project management practices
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and partner across disciplines to achieve high-impact results
  • Solid track record of building, motivating, and managing highly effective operations and engineering teams
  • Customer-focused mindset in designing, creating, and operating technical and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to understand and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to recruit and retain top industry talent
  • Experience managing mission critical production systems with strict SLAs around service availability and data product delivery.

What s Good to Know
  • Occasional travel, usually no more than 3-5 days per month
  • Occasional on-call/after-hours support expected
