Desired Candidate Profile

Technical ExpertiseAt least 6yrs years of work experience as a API integration Business Analyst working independently as a subject matter expert between IT (external stakeholders) and business partners (internal stakeholders) on complex projects. Identifies and communicates business needs and translates them into business and technical requirements from which solutions can be implemented; determines if technical solutions impact existing work processes/systems and ensures proper integration; as part of a team provides input surrounding buy vs. build decisions for possible solutions. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serves primarily as a senior-level project team member working on complex projects
  • Serves as a liaison between business partners and IT to define requirements and suggest implementation approach to meet user needs
  • Leads and or assists with project deliverables such as business and technical requirements, use cases, interface specifications, mock ups, risk and issue logs, test plans, training plans and elevation / validation plans.
  • Communicates and presents complex technical concepts simply and effectively to nontechnical team members
  • Experience applying Agile practices in the requirements lifecycle
  • Assesses long term needs, performs gap analysis and makes future state recommendations
  • Participates in JAD sessions with business partners to enable technical solutions that allow for process improvements
  • Conducts systems analysis with a focus on business and technical process models
  • Mentors and develops junior team members into resources with higher skill sets.
  • Provides testing support and analysis for defect resolution
  • Work closely with testing team to review test cases and assist with production validation
  • Work closely with Product owners and users to determine the operational objectives of business needs and elicit requirements.
  • Focus requirements gathering on improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement. Identify core business needs and decompose and document in user stories, mock ups, document business rules and construct workflow diagrams, as needed.
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Process flow documentation
  • Able to design, create and manage reusable API artifacts and service interface specifications (XSD/WSDL/WADL/OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML)
  • Hands-on tooling experience, including: Source control, UML, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, Data mapping)
  • Excellence in writing and maintaining clear end-user documentation including service API specifications, patterns, best practices, and business data definitions
  • Must have experience with data integrations, preferrable leveraging Rest API's via Mulesoft
  • Create back end user stories in Jira (or appropriate tool in use) that include API Payloads including request and response body, Error codes messages, Implementation details, Acceptance Criteria, Sequence diagrams, End points, Requirements check list.
  • Create front end user stories in Jira (or appropriate tool in use) that include User Interface (UI) Design, Product Requirements, Business Rules, API interactions with UI design, API system integration descriptions, Handling Error codes, Acceptance Criteria, End points,
  • Working in Agile methodology, and experience with VersionOne tool
  • Requirements Definition Development
  • Demonstrated experience using Visio to produce diagrams including process flows, context diagrams, etc.
  • Flowchart Preparation
  • Presentation Skills
Preferred:
  • Experiecne in API's Integration related Projects
  • Experience in Supplemental Insurance, health insurance or Life Insurance is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of version one tool

    Experience Required
7+ years of industry experience

Educational QualificationsTechnical degree required; computer science or electronics engineering degree desired;
