Job Description

In this role you will be a key member of the HR team and will be the primary point of contact for our employees. Reporting to the Head of People, this role requires a keen eye for processes and details, a passion for our culture and helping it scale, and the ability to professionally and empathetically support our team members.

During the pandemic, our Beaverton, Oregon office is closed, and all employees are working remotely. However, when our office re-opens, this position will report onsite.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project management, HRIS and interpersonal skills to put their expertise and into action at a growth stage start-up.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide day-to-day support to employees for all HR programs including answering general questions, use of HRIS, benefits administration, compliance, policies and guidelines.
  • Partner with Head of People to identify requirements for and lead the implementation of an integrated HRIS/Payroll system.
  • Manage the day-to-day tasks in our HRIS, benefits portal and electronic employee files.
  • Responsible for benefits administration including being primary contact for employees, coordinating with outside broker, updating and reconciling invoices and ensuring alignment with Finance processes.
  • Run projects from start to finish across a variety of HR initiatives to help ensure the HR team’s OKRs are completed on time and with a high level of operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships at all levels in the organization and represent objective professionalism and customer focus of the People function.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with current employment laws.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once.
  • Proficiency with HR technology (BambooHR, SmartRecruiters preferred), experience implementing an HRIS.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a shared goal.
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills to engage effectively with individual contributors, executive leadership and everyone in between.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and make sound judgment calls when presented with difficult decisions, especially when only partial information is available.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidential information.
  • Curiosity and openness to learn and develop.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources and project management, with 1+ year of HRIS experience preferred. ​​​
