Accounting Manager - Fixed Asset and Managed Care Account Receivables

What Would you do?

• Ensures all capital expenditures movements are accounted for timely and classified appropriately according to GAAP.
• Manages all GAAP "book" for new capital expenditures, existing fixed assets including transfers, disposals/retirements, impairment and depreciation,.
• Leads, directs, trains and mentors direct reports.
• Maintains and updates accounting policies for fixed assets and inventory.
• Ensures fixed asset subsidiary systems remain in sync with general ledger control accounts.
• Coordinates the annual capital budget analysis and depreciation projections.
• Supports and assists in coordinating external reviews and audits for Fixed Assets.
• Builds data warehouse for managed care transactions and AR aging.
• Implements a monthly AR roll forward process.
• Researches to eliminate Managed Care Accounts Receivable and unapplied cash true-ups.
• Analyzes AR reserve balance and write-offs; interacts with MC department to validate processed write-offs.
• Communicates any findings and issues with SDS data to Senior VP of store operation.
• Ensures process controls in place are sufficient and adequate for SOX compliance.
• Implements processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Assists in preparation of monthly related financial analysis and analytical review

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent accounting experience.
• SOX, CMA or CPA preferred.
• Experience evaluating and implementing new systems, automating interfaces and system upgrades.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, 5+ years of financial reporting systems (Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable & GL) experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
