Senior Accountant

Job Description

Thank you so much for interest in this role! We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to work in our Managed Accounting Services Practice. The practice group is responsible for providing accounting services to multiple clients including month-end closing, financial reporting, account & variance analysis, forecasting, cash projections and special projects as needed. The position will report to the VP of Accounting Operations.

Before we go any further in the conversation, we have some deal breakers. You must meet all of the following qualifications in order to apply. You must have:

· 3 - 5 years of experience minimum

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· CPA or CPA track

· Strong knowledge in accounting theory and accounting for contracts

· Deltek Costpoint systems (or similar) experience

· Knowledge of FAR

· Federal Experience

Some travel may be required in the future (<10%)

· Revenue recognition and month-end closing entries

· Financial reporting and analysis in accordance with GAAP

· Internal audits of current system internal controls

· Forensic accounting and reconciliation

· Variance analysis, communication & reporting

· External financial and government audit liaison

· Accounting system set up, process improvement and training

· Policy and procedure development

· Budgeting and forecasting

· Knowledge of FAR and CAS a plus
