Senior Data Visualization Developer

Job Description

• Partners with various departments, and/or Business Analysts, to understand requirements for BI Reports and/or Analytics dashboards.
• Creates functional and technical design documents that describe reports/dashboard's logic, use, and security.
• Uses an understanding of existing data models and data structures in data warehouse and/or transactional systems to leverage in report creation.
• Works with Data Architect's and Data Modelers to understand and construct additional data feed needed for the reports.
• Develops data and metadata models as needed to create a semantic layer for self-service reporting (e.g., SAP BO universe development or similar).
• Design and develops intuitive, interactive, and user-experience optimized BI reports and Dashboards in SAP Webi/SAP Analytics cloud/Looker or similar tools.
• Collaborates with ETL developers to create ETL processes in order to acquire relevant datasets for the reports and dashboards.
• Helps business/consumers of the reports/dashboards understand key insights generated from the reports and dashboards.
• Supports ongoing maintenance and optimizations of existing reports and dashboards.
• Participates in on-call support, as necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in BI reporting and dashboards creation.
• BI Reporting Tool, for example, SAP business objects/Webi, Data and Metadata modeling (SAP BO universes)
• Data visualization/dashboards (for example, SAP Analytics cloud, PowerBI, Looker or similar)
• Database (Microsoft SQL Server), Datawarehouse (for example, IBM Netezza, Google Bigquery etc.)
• Query language such as SQL. Basic: Programming language such as Java, Python, and Scala.
