ROLEProvide rigorous testing support for new product development, reliability, and application solutions within the Rinnai America laboratory.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product (appliances, accessories, and/or components) development evaluations including compliance, reliability, and performance testing
  • Equipment and test station set up for required ANSI, reliability, application, or audit testing.
  • Setup, adjust, and change test samples and setups for testing, perform the required testing in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, summarize, and document data and information gathered during testing. Perform benchmark testing of Rinnai products and competitors' products to include comparison reporting and communicate results to project engineer.
  • Compile lab reports using standard office software, including MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Certification testing to applicable standards within Rinnai Laboratory Scope as well as D.O.E. test procedures (CSA, ANSI, UL etc.)
  • Provide basic technical testing support for a variety of engineering activities.
  • New product solutions and qualification testing.
  • Reliability testing and set-ups to evaluate product longevity based on accelerated test protocols
  • Consultants on diagnosis testing to evaluate root cause failure
  • Conduct audit testing on Rinnai products
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment
  • Awareness and compliance of Company Policies and Procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required

KNOWLEDGE
  • High School Graduate or GED, plus experience in Research & Development laboratory
  • ANSI, UL, and DOE test protocol experience related to electrical and gas fired products
  • Knowledge in gas combustion principles
  • Knowledge in appliance testing
  • Research & Development Experience

SKILLS
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Moderate computer literacy – Microsoft Office
  • Understands basic electrical and plumbing schematics
  • Proficiency in Natural and LP gas, hydronic, and refrigeration systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
