Position: Help Desk Specialist Location: Warner Robins, Georgia As a Help Desk Specialist, you are responsible for assisting USAF Client Support Administrators (CSA) with trouble tickets. Responsibilities:
- Install and configure workstations.
- Install hard disk and load operating systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Must be able to utilize network monitoring tools and report anomalies to the senior client support technician.
- Must manage user accounts in active directory environment using the AFNet DRA application.
- Provide software problem resolution to include reporting outages in a problem report format, assist in maintaining a standard software configuration across like platforms, and recommend and implement performance tuning of applicable software.
- Load and configure COTS/GOTS software.
- Install/troubleshoot and support of local area network hardware, software and applications on layer 1 and 2.
- Provide remedial maintenance on all government owned hardware and isolate and correct faults.
- Maintain operating systems and COTS/GOTS software to ensure all systems are operable to the same standards as hardware maintenance above.
- Provide software problem resolution to include reporting outages in a problem report format, assist in maintaining a standard software configuration across like platforms, and recommend and implement performance tuning of applicable software.
- Load and configure COTS/GOTS software on any platforms as directed by the Government, to include both newly acquired software and revision/upgrade packages provided by COTS/GOTS vendors.
- 2 Years of related work experience
- Must hold Secret Security Clearance
- Candidates must have COMP TIA Security + certification
- Strong verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees
- An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems as well as the competitive landscape.
- Ability to communicate with senior managers about their business challenges
- Experience using Remedy
- Directly related DoD/USAF experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
