This position will sit onsite in the Greater Sacramento, CA area. Candidates must be willing to relocate if they are not local. The Engineering Department Manager proactively leads and manages the entire engineering team. Direct reports include the Engineering Supervisor, CAD drafters, and documentation specialists. Collaborates closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Project Management Manager (PMM) to ensure engineers are supporting customers as effectively as possible.Experience and Responsibilities:

- 5+ years experience managing engineers. - 5+ years experience in SCADA and Automation.-Ensures the department is in alignment with the strategic goals of the company, including upholding quality standards and company values.-Liaison between the Engineering Supervisor and Director of Operations.-Collaborates with Business Development and Project Operations to support and achieve business goals.-Builds cross-functional partnerships to deliver customer success.-Consistently communicates with the technical team giving them direction and encouragement.-Ensures team follows established processes.-Mentors and sets developmental goals for the Engineering Supervisor. Ensures the Engineering Supervisor is meeting all supervisory responsibilities for every engineer.-Assists with supervision of engineers in the absence of the Engineering Supervisor.-Intercedes when issues arise with technical staff that are outside PM authority.-Manages with a solid understanding of engineering scope of work and project lifestyle.-Is very familiar with each engineer's technical capabilities and how they can be best utilized.Please send your resume to We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
