ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will support a new program at Perspecta, focused on Mission integration of a new Space Domain architecture. This role is focused on Mission integration of the Tracking segment. Tasks include assessing the capabilities planned for the Tracking (Wide Field of View OPIR) Satellite Vehicles and supporting the Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) to develop and implement a plan to ensure that the combined system will be able to support the mission capabilities. Mission operations (demo and other flight test planning) has a direct interface with the Warfighter and brings together Wide Field of View OPIR satellites with a new satellite communication network utilizing optical links and mesh networking capability and a new ground architecture to deliver low-latency, high bandwidth data to DoD elements already conducting critical warfighter missions.This mission integration tracking systems engineer will be a senior member Tracking team that supports the LSE to develop and mature requirements for a "Capstone" demonstration. This is a fast paced program that will deliver a capability to support the warfighter in under 18 months and lay the ground work for the follow-on tracking system development. A focus of this role is working with more than one SV vendor to identify gaps in the architecture and interfaces and refine the CONOPS based upon expected Segment capabilities and mentoring junior members of the team.Specific Tasks include:• Support the Capstone detailed design, analysis, planning, and integration activities;• Develop a detailed Mission Operations integration plan in coordination with stakeholders;• Work with the stakeholders (Segments, Users, Partners) to define operational details, lower-level use cases (mission elements or components), requirements, interfaces, and controlling documents.• Evaluate the demonstrations, simulations, and testing required to demonstrate mission capability and document the interfaces, internal and external operations and resources required to successfully accomplish them. Support the development of planning documents, memorandums of agreement or understanding, and any other documentation required.

Qualifications• Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.• Experience supporting integration activities for a similar satellite systems• Experience defining the space to ground interface requirements for a tracking satellite.• Experience with Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), Space Tracking and Surveillance System (STSS), or similar space-based OPIR missions• Excellent ability to present status to Senior Government leaders.• Willing to travel to Chantilly, VA and Government/Vendor sites as needed for integration activities.
