Overview:

FUJIFILM Ultra-Pure Solutions, a leading manufacturer of high purity solvents used in semiconductor-related manufacturing processes, has an exciting opportunity at our Carrolton, TX facility for an EHS Engineer!

This role provides support for our Texas & California sites safety, health and environmental programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate and manage programs to raise safety awareness of employees.

  • Discuss safety concerns, participate in investigation of at-risk conditions and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Create, Conduct, and Assign area monthly safety inspections.

  • Fully understand and maintain all environmental regulations, permits, and reporting.

  • Understand, develop, follow, and enforce all appropriate EHS procedures.

  • Implement safety policies and procedures.

  • Interface with regulators as needed for normal business and inspections.

  • Complete permit updates and submissions.

  • Maintain information for and complete regulatory reports.

  • Review and update EHS procedures through the document control system.

  • Maintain training materials and provide EHS training.

  • Prepare and submit updates to regulatory agencies on required timelines.

  • Lead, participate in, and support PHA, Management of Change, SETCO, and PSSR meetings and ensure EHS issues are recognized and addressed.

  • Monitor and maintain basic safety programs, including, but not limited to industrial hygiene, medical surveillance, management of change, Process Safety Management, emergency response, contractor approval, HAZCOM, hazardous waste disposal (RCRA), Laboratory Chemical Hygiene, and others as needed.

  • Close attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy required due to regulatory compliance reporting and documentation responsibilities.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a four-year college degree in an engineering, science, or EHS specialty.

  • Demonstrated EHS Program development and implementation

  • Experienced in Chemical Manufacturing.

  • Minimum of 2 years EHS job related experience in a chemical handling environment.

  • Familiarity with safety and environmental laws and regulations required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Computer skills: Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

  • SAP and CompliantPro experience a plus.

  • Completion of a recognized environmental or safety professional certification program a plus.

  • Experience in completing regulatory reports and sustainability metrics and reports required (Air emissions, Hazardous Waste, Tier II, TRI, etc.).Auditor experience is a plus.

  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
