Cape Fox Facilities services is seeking a qualified Project Manager in support of ongoing scientific activities at Rocky Mountain Laboratories. Candidates must apply NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 24, 2021.
Responsibilities include:
Budget:
o Formulate annual and multi-year budget estimates
o Participate in long-range financial planning
o Support the Chief, facility manager, veterinary and pathology staff on projections and funding for new initiatives
o Identify policies, constraints and available funds that affect the program objectives
o Collect data and prepares budgetary information in response to requests from AO or DIR.
o Monitor operating fund expenditures
o Manage special budget requests (CRADA’s, etc.)
o Provide monthly financial reports to the Chief.
Operations:
o Manage and track hiring actions
o Coordinate with the AO and HR to ensure compliance with federal hiring practices
o Facilitate development of standards, procedural documents and SOPs
o Coordinate with contract staff to ensure consensus operations
o Prepare monthly situational report to NIAID DIR APD
Husbandry Operations
o Manage animal procurement and shipment
o Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements related to animal procurement
o Compile and reconcile monthly data for regulatory reports (USDA, AAALAC, IACUC, OLAW, etc.)
o Track monthly inventory for critical supplies to include feed, chemicals and bedding/caging
o Provide monthly report to the facility manager on inventory
Manage AMBIS purchases for clinical mission and histology mission
Maintain monthly inventory of clinical supplies and histology supplies and provides monthly report to facility manager and clinical leads and histology manager.
Manage yearly contracts for service on clinical and histology equipment.
Requirements:
Must have a BS/BA in business or related field with 5 years’ experience (documented in the tasks above)
