Senior Software Engineer

About Company:

We are Skyfish (www.skyfish.ai), an autonomous drone company based in Stevensville Montana. Skyfish designs and builds “self-flying” drones for the inspection and measurement of critical infrastructure (examples: cell towers, roadways, dams, power lines.) We have built an autonomous platform with an onboard computing module for precision inspection and measurement capability. You will be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial, small but nimble team focused on meeting the needs of our customer base.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Senior Skyfish Software Engineer (5-10 years experience) you will be a leader working with a team of professionals to develop world class software for drones. Skills should include designing (UML), coding, testing and deploying software. Language proficiencies should include JavaScript, C, C#, C, and Java. On any given day you may be diagnosing existing systems, designing new modules, planning the next generation of software, or working with electrical engineers on integration. Experience with software engineering IDEs and code management is required. Embedded code development experience is a plus. Software projects include mission control software (planning, flight, navigation, telemetry, mapping), onboard computing module, and flight controller embedded Linux system.

Management experience is a must, but you need to have recent coding experience as well because the job is very hands-on.
