Description: The job of Special Programs Teachers Assistant was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special needs students: maximizing student learning as deemed necessary and/or required to meet the personal and academic needs of each student; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; and providing information to appropriate school personnel.
This job reports to Supervising Teacher and Principal/Special Education Director
Requirements: Job related experience is desired
High School diploma or Equivalent
Pre-employment Drug Screening
Typing
CPI Training
Additional Testing/Training determined by NEW BOCES
CPR First Aid Certificate,
Salary: Hourly wage starts at $18.00/hr DOE/Q
