The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for the daily HR functions, including new hire and termination processing, administering pay, benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, SIMPLE IRA Plan), along with leave administration and enforcement of company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
  • Conduct new-hire orientations
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data & reconciles benefits statements
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
  • Distributes all required plan information
  • Responds to required government surveys/data collection
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Responds to SIMPLE IRA Plan inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
  • Responds to HSA inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
  • Assists with the open enrollment process
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
  • Assists with processing of terminations
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with personnel
  • Other job functions as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Benefits administration: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Human Resources: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Employee Benefits and Applicacable Laws: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite: 2 years (Preferred)
