Job Description

Merkle is looking for a uniquely accomplished industry-leading senior executive to serve as the leader of its global Google practice. The Google Practice Lead is an important leader at Merkle, managing the global strategy tied to our alliance partner.

With an understanding of the Google organization, strategy and culture, you will engage with your partner at senior levels to develop a shared strategic vision and the executive sponsorship and support required to act on it. As a respected expert, you will propose creative new business ideas and secure the partner understanding and engagement needed to put them into practice.

As the Practice Lead, you will drive alliance growth and establishing Merkle as a leader in pursuing transformational deals.

You will report to the EVP, Performance Media.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy globally tied to the Google partnership, including bringing joint plans to market and ensuring successful programs – with responsibility from ideation to post-launch
  • Develop the business plan for the DAN/Merkle/Google Alliance.
  • Manage the Google Alliance to higher levels across Partner framework: Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Joint Initiatives, Delivery.
  • Partner with team to bring offerings to market: work with sales to build the pipeline for partner offerings; work with product or other operating groups to bring offerings to launch; work with marketing to build marketing plan; work with executives on Merkle and partner teams to manage communications and updates.
  • Keep up with the latest functionality of the Google offering.
  • Note the point of escalation for any delivery challenges.
  • Work collaboratively to develop solutions with our delivery groups.
  • Work with alliance partner on appropriate training programs and manage certifications across the organization.
  • Form lasting relationships across departments and teams, partners and clients, from C-suite level to line manager to architect.
  • Establish key relationships and position oneself as an expert.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of industry related leadership and alliance partnership experience.
  • Experience with the Google stack.
  • Market knowledge and the ability to create successful growth strategies and develop on a longer-term strategy.
  • Experienceleading global alliance practice, setting strategic vision and leading teams to achieve it.
  • Results that achieve growth targets.
  • The ability to develop strategic plans to close large revenue projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or above required
  • 20-30% travel
