Full Charge Bookkeeper

Construction company in Durham, NC has an immediate need for full time full charge on site bookkeeper. This person will work hand in hand with the president maintaining and improving administrative procedures, inventory control, and working closely with other office staff. Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task.
Required experience:
Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience
An overall understanding of all accounting principles
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Premier desktop edition
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Organized with attention to detail
Ethical and honest
Preferred experience:
Knowledge of construction industry, pay applications, change orders, and AIA forms
Financial analysis
Cash management/cash flow
General Ledger
NC Notary Public a plus
Duties include, but not limited to:
Input invoices, receipts, etc. into QuickBooks
Prepare payroll and submit payroll taxes
Pay vendors & prepare bank deposits
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Maintain the General Ledger
Monthly Journal Entries
Submit quarterly sales taxes
Prepare quarterly and year end PR tax forms such as 941, W2s & 1099s
Financial reporting, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements
Preparing budgets, AR & AP aging reports
Maintain vendor files and employee files in QuickBooks
Keep account current and in compliance with insurance renewals etc.
