Kaleido, Inc. seeks Senior Blockchain Protocol Engineer in Raleigh, NC.

Job Duties: Responsible for designing and developing blockchain-based software solutions to maintain, improve, and scale Kaleido’s blockchain platform. Specific duties include: designing and developing software solutions to integrate blockchain protocols into Kaleido products; owning the project lifecycle from architecture and design to final implementation; troubleshooting and developing automation scripts of virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; integrating solutions into Kaleido’s blockchain technology stack; designing and developing software using REST APIs for the installation and configuration of blockchain software in Kaleido's product offerings; writing software code in Javascript, Node.js, Golang, and Java; performing maintenance and testing for developed software, including writing test cases, reviewing code, correcting errors/bugs, and scaling existing software as needed to meet demand; collaborating with cross-functional design and engineering teams to define technical requirements and designs for decentralized applications; documenting all aspects of developed software and engineering protocols for future reference and maintenance; mentoring low-level engineers about blockchain components; and other duties as assigned.

Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related position. Other special requirements include: 1 year of experience troubleshooting and developing automation scripts of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar; 1 year of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting in live blockchain environments; 1 year of experience working with Javascript, Node.js, Golang, and Java; and 1 year of experience creating the architecture, design, and implementation of distributed systems.

In lieu of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related positions, employer will accept applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related positions.
