Finance Clerk/Revenue

The Finance Clerk/Revenue is responsible for providing client account information and support to Customer Service Representative staff, fielding client calls to answer questions and resolve billing issues, identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize and communicate clearly. Uses tact and judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Ability to address client questions in person and over the phone in a polite and kind manner.
• Ability to analyze revenue sources and mitigate lost revenue through the training of clinical and clerical staff.
• Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
• Identifies issues resulting in non-payment of claims due to internal/external issues
• Input and pull data required to obtain authorizations from 3rd party payors.
• Knowledge of ICD10 codes and CPT codes for professional fee billing.
• Gather and exchange information with providers and other practice personnel.
• Maintain working knowledge of changes in related regulatory and compliance issues.
• Analyze revenue accounts on the ledger and verify accuracy.
• Create and review system wide reports for accurate information.
• Able to understand and troubleshoot system information for analytical projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in finance or related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software platforms and their integration into billing systems
• CPC (coding); demonstrated ICD10 proficiency; Experience with ICD-10 and behavioral health CPT codes preferred
• Professional certification (i.e. AAPC) in behavioral health coding preferred

Certification/Licensure:

• Driver's License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
