Financial Reporting Intern

Overview:

This Financial Reporting Intern’s focus is to develop experience working on day-to-day responsibilities and projects related to Financial Reporting, while gaining exposure to other facets of the Company. This position will work side-by-side with team members and leaders to analyze the Company’s financial performance and support the enhancement of processes and efficiencies for the Company’s internal and external reporting requirements (Senior Management, Board of Directors, SEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, etc.). This position will also assist with financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including supporting the preparation of board presentations, financial presentations, financial analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects as requested to provide insights and support optimal business decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the production of internal and external reporting, including SEC reporting, FDIC and Federal Reserve regulatory reporting, FHLB reporting, management reporting, board reporting, and ad hoc reporting;

• Learn and become proficient with various internal software systems

• Assist with and provide suggestions for the creation of automated processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance

• Perform special projects related to finance on an as needed basis

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

• Junior/Senior year undergraduate with a focus in Finance or Accounting preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication.

• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
