About the Program

The Guest House Crisis Stabilization Center (est. 2020) is a10-bed, licensed Crisis Residential Treatment Facility that offers expert services and support for individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The program offers a healing, therapeutic environment staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a team of caring professionals. Specific services include short-term crisis intervention and stabilization, medication management, daily nursing support, motivational interviewing, solution-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and Peer support. Staff will work closely with the client's existing treatment team for coordinated care.

About the Position

We are looking to hire a Residential Associate at the Guest House CSC, RTF in Eugene, OR. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then this position might be a good fit for you.

Work Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:00pm – 11:30pm (Swing)

This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Qualifications

MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO

State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria:

a) Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

b) OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits

Starting at $17.50 per hour/DOE and QMHA credentials. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees. Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employees working 30 hours a week. All Part-Time/On-Call hourly employees receive time and a half when working a holiday and are eligible to receive up to 5 days of sick time and up to 12 days of vacation per year (accruals earned are based on hours worked). Wellness Benefit of up to $400 per year (prorated based on FTE). Our organization is qualified for federal student aid public service loan forgiveness program.
