Discovery Preschool Teacher Aide

The City of Medford has an exciting opportunity for a part-time, year-round Discovery Preschool Teacher Aide (Recreation Leader I) in the Parks & Recreation Department.The Medford Parks and Recreation Department is looking fora qualified individual with the skills and background to successfully join our team. This is a high energy and rewarding job which demands a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility and lots of patience, as well as the ability to work well with in a team under high stress situations.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from high school or GED

Minimum of 18 years old by time of hire

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in childcare setting (classroom, daycare, afterschool programs, etc.)

Desired Attributes:

Experience working in an early childcare setting with progressive responsibility

Demonstrated enthusiasm with the ability to communicate professionally

Ability to building working relationships and be a team player

Schedule:

Up to 24 hours/week during preschool hours
