Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technician Position Summary:

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities:

Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services. Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.

Experience:

Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.

Qualifications:

A High School diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.

As our Tire Technician you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of tires and wheels and safely getting our phenomenal customers back on the road again.

Main Responsibilities:

You have an opportunity to help customers by providing vehicle services to include:

Tire installation and maintenance;

Repairing, rotating, and inflating tires;

Attaching and rebalancing wheels;

Calibrating TPMS;

Testing and installing batteries;

Assisting other employees; and

Test-driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting of weight between 35-75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.
