C-P Flexible Packaging is looking for several Slitter Operators to join our finishing team on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) and 3rd shift (11pm-7a) . The Slitter Operator operates a slitter safely, efficiently, productively and produces a quality product in accordance with company and customer specifications.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Operate slitter machine
Loading and unloading of rolls on a slitter
Interpret and understand written information. (orders, SOP's, Lam. and print roll tickets etc.)
Palletization ( building pallets of finished goods per customer specifications)
Bagging of finished rolls
Enter accurate information into computer and on production forms.
Print out and attach accurate labels to finished rolls.
Keep Machine and surrounding area safe and clean.
Spot and determine visual defects.
Cut out defects and splice together good material.
Safely do all functions (i.e. lifting, cutting, etc.)
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to use a computer (basic computer skills)
Basic math skills
Good organizational skills
Communicate well with others
Basic reading skills
Basic writing skills (must be legible)
Use of minor tools (i.e. Allen wrenches)
Use of sharp cutting tools
Process written information (orders, SOP's, etc.)
Common sense and planning ahead
Physical Demands:
Lifting ability, up to 80 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Bending
Extensive use of hands and fingers
Extensive time on feet, walking/standing
Use of ladders (if needed)
Working Conditions:
Back Belt
Steel tip boots or shoes
Hearing protection
Some mandatory overtime
Cut resistant glove
Occasional handling of solvents
Required education:
High school graduate or equivalency
