Wanted: Foster Parents for Adolescents

SafeGuards Foster Care is looking for caring and supportive individuals/couples who want to make a significant impact on the lives of at-risk adolescents and support our mission to protect children, strengthen families, and change lives through the prevention of child abuse and the operation and management of a comprehensive, community-based system of care for children and their families. We believe that all children have the inalienable right to grow up safe, healthy, and fulfilled in families that love and nurture them.

If you have room in your heart and home to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing space for adolescents to learn, grow, and heal we would love to have you join our amazing foster care team! Foster Parents MUST be at least 21 years of age; Be able to pass ALL background checks and clearances; Have adequate space for foster child(ren), Meet home safety requirements; Have a reliable source of transportation, driver's license and proof of insurance.

SafeGuards values our foster parents, and understand how important you are to our program's success. Because of this we provide the following benefits: $1700 TAX FREE stipend per month/per child placed in your home; 21 Days of PAID Respite per calendar year; 24/7 On-Call and Case Management Services with bi-weekly home visits (in-person or virtually); Pre-service Training, as well as on-going training, and weekly support groups for Foster Parents.
