POSITION SUMMARY

The Art Consultant will have a detailed understanding of the Benjamin Walls brand and have complete product and gallery knowledge to successfully provide every visitor the "WALLS Experience." They will follow an informal yet strategic sales process that shares Benjamin's work and his incredible passion for exceptional art and conservation with the intent to turn casual gallery visitors into Benjamin Walls collectors. They will be responsible for following up with those collectors to inform them of any news and new releases. The goal of an Art Consultant is to assist collectors in adding Benjamin Walls artwork to their collections.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greet and provide a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere to gallery visitors.

- Guide visitors through the gallery and engage them in the art work by highlighting and conveying the meaning and significance of the artist's images.

- Assess the visitors preferences and motivation for connecting with the art so as to recommend the images that best suit their individual needs.

- Present summary close with price after building the value of the artwork.

- Give a full presentation following the sales process using proper lighting, voice tone, and engaging the visitor in a rapport building way.

- Enter and maintain all new leads and clients into company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

- Follow up with potential clients via telephone or email to close sales, and to maintain ongoing communication in an effort to build strong, long-lasting relationships.

- Process all sales in the company point-of-sale system, process payments and submit all purchase orders to production team.

- Track image production and delivery timelines.

- Communicate all pertinent sales and production information to clients and make final arrangements for delivery/installation of their artwork.

- Represent Benjamin Walls in positive terms at all times, whether at work or at leisure.

- Increase knowledge of Benjamin Walls the brand, the artist, and the images.

- Maintain professional demeanor at all times with visitors and collectors.

- Assist in the planning and successful execution of private and public gallery events, and use them as an opportunity to host existing clients, potential clients and other VIPs.

- Work individually and as a team to set up and show artwork and gallery displays.

- Maintain appearance of gallery including daily cleaning and organizational tasks.

- Assist with inventory and other administrative tasks as assigned.

- Participate in weekly team meetings and other meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to learn and recite from memory the pertinent details of an extensive art inventory.

- Ability to assess client preferences and guide them to the images that will connect them to the artist and his work.

- Demonstrated ability to work in an often high-volume environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.

- Professional telephone and written communication skills.

- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to learn company specific software and POS system.

- Adobe Photoshop or Adobe InDesign experience is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1-3 years sales experience required, preferably in luxury sales.

Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and establishing/maintaining strong client relationships.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

High School Diploma required

College degree preferred

Knowledge of fine art helpful
