Job Description
The Sugarman of Vermont, a leading producer of Maple Syrup, is hiring a Customer Service Representative that can excel in our fast-paced office environment. Pay is commensurate with experience and benefits are available.
The right candidate will be a highly motivated and very organized professional with customer facing and sales administration experience. You will be comfortable handling many priorities with ease, remaining on track and on time with addressing customer needs, entering sales orders, delivering supporting sales materials and all communications needed for sales team success. Additionally, you will provide freight quotes to the sales team based on customer delivery addresses supporting the sales process.
Location: Hardwick, VT
Responsibilities
Making and receiving customer calls and emails, handling requests including product orders, product questions, shipment tracking and pricing information, and sales sampling
Help accurately input customer sales orders and recording of account information
Research accounts, understand customer needs, identify key players, and generate interest
Generate leads and develop and enter qualified opportunities into our sales funnel
Help maintain and expand our database of prospects within certain markets
Other sales administration duties as assigned
Requirements
Associates degree or higher. Certificates in Business, Sales, or Marketing a plus
5 years previous customer service experience with a proven track record
Experience with freight quoting software (e.g. Shipstation, FedEx, etc.) a plus
Strong phone presence and listening skills / handling of dozens of calls / emails per day
Results focused, supporting of sales team achievements of monthly sales targets
Proficient with corporate productivity tools
Experience working within CRM, and Office software
Ability to work in a sales team environment with ability to cross-collaborate with other departments
Stay current with industry, new and existing product features / benefits
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Comfortable working under strict deadlines
Process orders via email or phone
An eye for data accuracy on orders and invoices
Maintain and update sales and customer records
Liaise with the logistics department to ensure timely product deliveries to customers
Experience with ERP/CRM systems; for example Pipedrive and QuickBooks
