Senior Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer monitors and improves the quality system to ensure International Standard Organization (ISO) compliance. Monitors plant processes to ensure that components comply with all part specifications. Supervises quality technicians.

• Uses data to drive problem solving of issues identified in process and products.
• Key member of the quality team to address existing released products for GD&T and gage R&R for production processes.
• Participate as an active member of the corrective actions team.
• Responsible for Customer Quality issues.
• May actas Customer Liaison for quality issues.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards, standard work, safety, and overall performance of the Quality Department.
• Ensure that quality team training is completed on time and accordingto schedule.
• Responsible for internal audit
• Creates and Posts Quality alerts for customer complaints and floor issues
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Understanding of gauging and measurement systems
• Understanding of quality and inspection methods
• Kaizen / continuous improvement process experience
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• General office software usage capability (email, excel, word, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree required. Engineering or Technical bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing, mechanical, or quality experience.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Greenbelt or higher certifiication preferred.
