Senior Telematics Project Manager

Senior Project Manager (Telematics) 3 years contract REMOTE(Post COVID Torrance, CA); Preference are local candidates Candidate will be required to be on-site POST COVID Based on project needs, candidate will be required to come to the office Looking for candidates to have IOT, Mobile, and Automotive Telematics Experience AND seeking a PM with Business Facing experience. Job Description:

• Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations
• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately
• Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
• Manages one or more cross functional projects of high complexity
• Responsible for the management of one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex projects

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
• Advanced ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a whole
• Advanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets - Advanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage and quality
• Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identified
• Advanced understanding of multiple project management disciplines Business Experience 7 to 10 years of IT work experience 5 years managing projects

• Planning : Define project plan, objective and milestone, Gain agreement from the customer, Oversee development of a plan to meet the objective, Assess risks and develop contingency plans
• Organizing : Manage project resources to perform work, Schedule onshore/offshore meetings, Coordinate vendors, Develop and deliver key documents, Maintain documents associated with project in an organized manner
• Managing : Monitor progress, Manage a change control process, Develop corrective actions, Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders, Transition.
• Costing : Conduct Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Resource Allocation
• Reporting : Create Presentations for stakeholders and Requested Monthly / Weekly / Daily reports
• Reporting: Provide Presentations for stakeholders, Monthly / Weekly / Daily reports

• Seasoned veteran having strong experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies and deliverables
• 2 years experience in the Automotive industry or in Telematics
• Hands-on knowledge of custom Internet application and mobility development, information architecture, user experience, and services-based architecture
• Creative, self-driven, highly collaborative
• Experience working with a managed services partner for delivery
• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with multiple cross-organizational teams
• Excellent internal and client-facing communication skills
• Experience conducting C-level presentations
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of products, including MS Project
• Strong experience with JIRA and working knowledge of Confluence
• Multiple successful end-to-end deliveries from Scope through Implementation/Warranty, including maintenance
• Experience working in a dynamic, highly fluid, technically challenging environment
