Hyperion Business Systems Analyst

This position is 9 months, contract to perm. The client only wants to see people that are willing to go perm. This role is remote during Covid, however, can sit in Hoffman Estates IL, Portland, OR, Cincinnati, OH or Austin, TX. The Business Systems Analyst Lead position reports in to the Financial Systems Team Director supporting the Finance organization business systems applications.Position Responsibilities & Essential functions:This Financial Systems Business Analyst Lead will work closely with Finance and IT leaders as key stakeholders. The Lead is responsible for the analysis of user business problems, overseeing 2 BSA Analysts daily BAU activities, and ad hoc requests. This role develops resolutions to complex problems that require innovative solutions while maintaining current financial systems and advising on solutions for the new ERP, Oracle Cloud EDMCS, GL, EPBCS, and FCCS.BAU Activities:All phases of HFM 11.1.2.4, and Hyperion Essbase financial close processMetadata changes in HFM, Hyperion EssbaseMonitor automated data loads, assist Finance with resolving kick-outsManual post Journals in Oracle EBS, manual push to HFM, Essbase reporting cube/planning applicationsOracle GL account maintenance: activate/troubleshoot/maintain GL strings & security rules, publish FDMEE mappings, run macros to extract data from EASManage multiple competing priorities, confidential/sensitive dataReconcile financial data variances across financial systems.Define problems, evaluate and prioritize requirements, and implement advanced systems to meet internal business and user requirements.Provides technical expertise and recommendations to address specific business needs for information technology based solutions.Performs advanced system validations in alignment with business requirements.Plans and configures multifaceted system settings and options with innovative solutions. Oracle ERP Cloud experience preferred.Proven ability to quickly learn business processes and adapt to changing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels within an organizationStrong analytical skills in problem solving, business processes and attention to detailSuperior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive informationSupervised 1-3 Analysts or served in Team Lead role for 1-2 yrs
