CAD Design Engineer

Our client has IMMEDIATE NEEDS for three (3) experience AutoCAD Drafters for their office in the Northeast metro Atlanta area. Responsibilities will be to provide subject matter expert support for all CAD related activities for Engineering or Projects. Duties will include assisting the Sales Department during the sales process by providing drawings for submittals/quotations, assisting the Engineering Department during the design process by specific direction of design requirements, and provide documentation for customer installed systems and internal company use. Other duties will to assist in training, coaching and mentoring other team members on system designs and engineering. APPLY TODAY and start as soon as possible. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sales Department during the sales process by providing drawings for submittals/quotations
• Assist the Engineering Department during the design process by specific direction of design requirements
• Assist PMO and Shared Services Departments in providing documentation for customer installed systems and internal company use
• Maintain comprehensive naming and storage scheme for archiving customer drawings for future retrieval by Managed Services or Day 2 Services
• Maintains consistent knowledge of new technology/standards to assure the most accurate documentation processes
• Provide CAD training, coaching and mentoring to Engineering and PMO on system designs and engineering

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology related discipline is a plus.
• 5+ years' experience in AutoCAD
• Extensive experience of Excel import and use of Macros.
• Expert level development and organization of CAD Symbols libraries and projects
• Proficient in Engineering design concepts. Requires expert level one of the concepts below:
  • Industry Security knowledge
    • CCTV, VMS, Access Control, Intrusion, Fire
  • Industry Network knowledge
    • Low-voltage, Network Topology, Telephony
• RCDD or Security Certificate required
• LEEDS experience is a plus
• REVIT experience is a plus
• LENEL certification is desired but not required
