Job Opening: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER

Information Technology DepartmentThe Jackson County Government is seeking a Network Administrator/Engineer in the IT Department. Under general supervision, this position will provide support for computer systems and networks of Jackson County, Georgia. Requirements for this position include Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent professional experience. Must be MCSE certified or have 7+ years equivalent networking design and administrative experience. Must have Windows 2008- 2016 Administrator experience, network configuration experience, knowledge of Cisco switches and VoIP equipment, familiarity with LAN/WAN in multi-platform environment, and seven or more years of experience with Windows 2008 / 2016 servers TCP/IP. Strong active directory and exchange administration skills is expected. Experience with Virtualization and SAN environments preferred. May require specialized certifications as deemed necessary by the Information Technology Director.Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks.This is a salaried, position with a hiring salary range of $65,000 - $70,000, dependent upon qualifications.Applications are available online at www.jacksoncountygov.com, from the Jackson County Human Resources Department in the Jackson County Administrative Building at 67 Athens Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, or resumes may be submitted via email to .
