Customs Specialist (Fort Gratiot, MI)

The Customs Specialist is responsible for the timely release of Customs shipments, correct billing and accurate keying of information. They ensure that all the entries are released, billed and classified.

All candidates will be considered, we are willing to train candidates without Customs experience!

Preferred skills

Customer service oriented

1 to 2 years of Brokerage experience preferable (release and entry)

Knowledge (and/or interest for) of Customs process, laws and regulations

Main tasks

Process shipments

Process PAPS

Create Customs entries

Ensure correct value for duty is reported

File opening

Document management and data entry

Teamwork: assist the Release Analysts and Customs Specialists

Other related tasks

Required skills

High school diploma

Computer literate, MS Office

Proactive and organized

Attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Team player, problem-solving, decision making, self-directed and takes ownership of results
