Java Lead Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Java Lead Developer to work full-time in Atlanta, GA.Job Title: Java Senior Lead Technical/Functional Skills: o Should have expert knowledge in Java/J2EE technology with expertise in Java web services, java batch framework (with experience in multithreading) o Good expertise on writing restful webservices/Microservices o Experience in springboot framework, Spring MVC o Understanding of modern microservice-based architectures and methodologies o Experience in cloud implementation in preferred. Can be any cloud in the market. o Experience in building distributed systems working with a distributed DB/cache. o Exposure to messaging technologies like Kafka/RabbitMQ is a plus. o Experience with CI/CD toolchain like Jenkins o Proficient in a version control system (preferably Git) o Experience in TDD using JUnits or similar tools. o Should have experience in Oracle / DB2 SQLs o Experience in UI design using HTML5/jQuery with Angular JS is preferred. o Excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle. o Ability to guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. Must present ideas to review boards. o The Lead Developer must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. o Ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. o Should have recent hands on development experience in above mentioned technologies o Should have Strong decision making abilities. o Assists multiple team members and other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to project work. o The Lead Developer must have the ability to view packages and products to determine their viability within the solution being considered, or if they would be a good solution in other areas. o Minimum 4+ years of Senior programming level experience involving some architecture and high level design o Experience in retail store operations and related concepts are added advantage. o Mobile development experience is preferred Roles & Responsibilities: o View software packages, products and define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects. o Ensure the team comprehends and applies the established processes, policies, standards and procedures. o Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex development projects. o Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. o Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate test reviews as necessary. o Meeting with Solution Architects to design whole application framework o Explaining the requirements, functionality, design & framework to onsite & offshore team members o Provides management with timely communication on status & Utilizes appropriate tools and/or develops custom solutions as required to meet objectives. o Identifies areas for process improvement. o Support the solution through deployment and operations o Participate in the ongoing development roadmap o Test case/plan creation and documentation o Strong analytical ability o Exhibit integrity in all decisions and actions o Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must Generic Skills: o Think out of the box to provide suggestions o Be creative in analyzing business requirements while preparing test cases o Nice to have some knowledge in Retail business o Be extremely proactive and independent o Be a value addition to the team to collaborate and achieve success by completing project goals Joy Provenzano, VP- Recruiting, The Judge Group 90 Matawan Rd, Suite 102, Matawan, NJ 07747 office www.judge.com Contact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
