Senior Network Engineer 2 responsibilities involve defining, developing, maintaining and advising on the effective use of the Publix information technology architecture. The Network Engineering Data Center team is responsible for WAN networking and routing, Datacenter networking, and Quality of Service. Some examples of network engineering tasks include: Design and maintain wide area networks for enterprise Design, install, configure, integrate, and support Cisco WAN/LAN networking hardware, Aggregation Services Routers and Catalyst models perform analysis on data center network needs and contribute to overall care and feeding of network hardware and software problem-determination and resolution project team participation, and new technology awareness, research and system integration Bachelor s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience minimum of four years engineering experience or higher with enterprise Data Center networks minimum of four years of engineering experience or higher with Cisco networks in an enterprise environment minimum of four years engineering experience or higher with WAN routing protocols in an enterprise environment minimum 2 years experience with Data Center Design including VXLAN and Software Defined Networks (SDN) minimum 2 years experience with managing a Spine/Leaf network fabric using Cisco DCNM (Data Center Network Manager) successful and proven track record of leading large-scale projects, extensive background in the design, planning, and implementation of complex Cisco networks, and the ability to quickly understand the complex enterprise network at Publix deep understanding of networking security solid background in networking security areas including: PCI, HIPPA, compliance standards, regulations, and security remediation working knowledge of the system hardening processes, guidelines, and benchmarks datacenter networking support and troubleshooting experience supporting a wide variety of networking components including Cisco Routers, Switches, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and RIPv2 experience with network management platforms and products networking certifications Advanced Wireshark troubleshooting experience with SD-WAN Networking tools including NetMRI, CA Spectrum, netQoS, and HP Network Automation Employee stock ownership plan that contributes Publix stock to associates each year at no cost An opportunity to purchase additional shares of our privately-held stock 401(k) retirement savings plan Group health plan (with prescription benefits) Group dental plan Group vision plan Sick pay Long-term disability insurance Company-paid life insurance (with accidental death & dismemberment benefits) Tuition reimbursement Vacation pay Free hot lunches (buffet-style) at facilities with a cafeteria Paycheck direct deposit Credit union Access to over 50 discount offers including discounts on computer, vehicle and wireless purchases 6 paid holidays (associates can exchange the following holidays with their manager s approval: New Year s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day).
