Systems/Software Engineer

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is accepting resumes for the position of Systems/Software Engineer at 6280 America Center Drive San Jose, CA 95002 (Santa Clara County). The job requires no travel and is limited to the one work location. Duties include: - Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for software enhancements and new products;- Develop software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and internet-related tools; - Determine hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design;- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools;- Analyze design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution;- Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; - Identify and debug and create solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture; and- Lead a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem. Requires a Master’s or foreign degree equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Education/experience must include the following: Hadoop; SQL; Docker; Elasticsearch; and JavaScript/Node.js. Position hours are 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Offered wage: $129,066/year to $139,066/year.
