Trucking Dispatch/Driver Manager - WEEKENDS - 3 days off a week

This position is Friday to Monday with three days a week off!

Looking for an experienced, self-motivated Dispatcher to run all our trucks during a weekend shift! Come work for a growing trucking company that has been in business for over 70 years! Qualifications and responsibilities:

2-4 years’ experience dispatching OTR, Regional and Local fleets. We run the 47 states OTR and have regional and local routes in the Western 11.

Must have a proven track record of being able to communicate effectively and with respect to customers, drivers and vendors.

Prefer a candidate who has worked in McLeod (or equivalent) trucking software

Prefer a candidate with advanced knowledge with Qualcomm and other trucking software

Must understand state and federal transportation, DOT and FMCSA compliance and regulations as they apply to dispatching a fleet of trucks including drivers hours of service, etc.

Must understand the importance of maintaining the stellar customer service record of Cox Trucking.

Must be able to handle timely schedule changes with attention to detail, accurate data entry and excellent communication with drivers and other members of the team.

Must be able to multitask and have the ability to work in sometimes stressful situations.

Must understand the importance of responding to driver inquiries and issues.

Must maintain accurate, up-to-date files and logs

Clearly document any cancellations or load changes

Must be able to work in a team environment sharing information and asking clarifying questions as necessary.

Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations.

Prefer a candidate with excellent computer skills

Position Requirements:

High school degree or G.E.D.

At least 2-4 years of on-the-job experience dispatching for a trucking company with multiple trucks.

Will consider people who have other types of dispatch, but trucking industry is preferred.

Ability to maintain a great respectful tone and attitude at all times - but especially when under pressure.

Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills

Ability to effectively interpret contract rules and requirements

Ability to effectively decipher maps

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills.

Microsoft Office Applications Suite

Trucking Software including programs such as McLeode, TenStreet, QualComm, PC Miler

Must be able to work a flexible schedule if required.

Work Environment/Demands of the Position:

Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations.

Generally works inside air-conditioned office.

May sit for 6+ hours a day.

Uses computer keyboard and monitor for 6+ hours a day.

High volume use of telephone.

Creative thinking, problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
