The Villas in Honolulu, Hawaii is looking for a Full-time Noc Shift Nurse Supervisor responsible for the supervision of nursing team and oversees the operation of a nursing unit and the daily delivery of care to residents. Keeps Director of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. Coordinates unit admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Shift: NOC 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

Duties include but are not limited: 

Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.

Assures quality of care by enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations.

Completes guest care requirements by managing nursing and staff; following up on work results.

Assisting charge nurses when needed to send guest to ER, manage admissions, running codes, and manage work assignments if overloaded by emergencies or during high volume time.

Assisting charge nurse by inputting new orders written by doctors into Vision and reporting that off to nurses what still needs follow up.

Staff in servicing that may need completion during off shift related to care of specific guests.

Responsible for follow up on items passed off by day shift managers to night shift supervisors to extend the continuum of care.

Running mock codes and fire drills.

Making sure the carts stay clean and stocked and the med room is tidy and par levels are restocked to full.

Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.

Maintains nursing supplies inventory by anticipating needed supplies and ordering it timely.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.

Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience required

Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice and management experience preferred. First Aid and CPR preferred. (can be done in-house).

Must have current medical/health screening including 2 step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
