Job Description

As a key member of our team you’ll be assigned to a highly visible process plant in Southeastern Colorado. You are willing to travel and be away from home for extended periods while working at the jobsite. You will be responsible for documentation of the functional designs and machine workflow management of the mechanical and process infrastructure. Your creativity and aptitude for solving problems will enable us to grow as an organization. You are a technology adopter and familiar with human/machine interface systems. How you’ll spend your days:

  • Creating simple and functional designs for new construction, remodels, and additions using AutoCAD and Revit– plumbing, ductwork, HVAC, mechanical and process infrastructure
  • Calculating heating and cooling loads, ventilation requirements, process pumping and heat exchange calculations using standard design practices
  • Ensuring every detail is attended to, and the project is completed on time and on budget
  • Working with the plant management to generate support documentation and operational procedures
  • Working with new plant hires to bring them up to speed on the systems and process
  • Wearing many hats and juggling multiple priorities

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 1 year of professional experience – preferably with process systems
  • Demonstrated experience with machine workflows and processes
  • Attention to detail and understanding of pumps and piping systems
  • 100% hands-on engineer – you can create engineering systems and produce at the same time
  • Expert-level competency with AutoCAD – extra points for experience with Revit
  • Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Office, and Bluebeam
  • Problem-solving ability, strong work ethic and pride of ownership
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities shift regularly
  • Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously – and keeping them all moving elegantly
