Direct Assistant and Researcher to Business Owner

This position will require a person, preferably a single female without dependent children as in-state and out-of-state all-expense paid travel in Airbnbs (never hotels, and 2 to 4 days typically) will be periodically required, with a very unique skill set and talents beyond those stated in the following description. Most months, no overnight travel will not be required. Your duties will mainly be to work directly with me, in-person and remotely, and at times you will be required to have dialogue with other people to direct them in what information that I might require from them. Impeccable verbal and written skills for various forms of correspondence will also be a requirement for this position. I am looking for someone who has an interest in doing this kind of work long-term, with the business eventually being turned over to that person to run in the future.

I currently own three small businesses and am in the process of starting a fourth which will involve publishing, art and music. The duties and/or research subject matters are of a wide range and will be explained at the time of a phone call prior to an interview. Duties will include the previously stated subjects as well as minor duties related to the running of my other businesses. This is office-setting type work. You will never be required to do physically taxing labor.

The person chosen to work with me will not have set hours but will have deadlines given by me to have assigned work completed by. Please be aware that many of my projects are ones that I build and work on for more than a year in some cases - thus, my need for someone looking for a long-term career. For some of the assigned work, you will not be required to come to the physical location in Princeton, MN, where I mainly work out of. Thus, when not working directly with me, you need to be able to be competent in all assigned work without my direct assistance and be disciplined in meeting deadlines. You will be given a computer to be used only for the maintenance of my businesses. That computer will remain in a locked case when it leaves my premises and is not in use, so you must be trustworthy, have no criminal background, and be responsible with my and other's property. All of my businesses provide legal and moral services. Some of the research subjects and materials will be proprietary information, and you will have access to items that you will not be able to disclose publicly unless granted permission by those other people or entities or myself. This position will require a high degree of seriousness while preforming tasks, but I assure all candidates: these tasks will always be fun, interesting and educational. The person chosen, if they work with me long-term, will basically be getting a doctoral level education in how to build and run a business, literature, art and science by doing this type of work with me. And they will be getting paid will I dispense this education for free.

I apologize if this job description sounds vague, but that is due to the proprietary information that my businesses possess and/or are involved with.

I can, however, explain a bit of my background.

Upon graduating university, I was a physicist and worked in a research laboratory in California for three and a half years. I mainly worked on projects involving superconductivity materials and items utilizing cessium-9. One Sunday morning while eating breakfast in a restaurant and reading the newspaper, that physicist had what he thought was a stomach ache but woke up in a hospital four days later after almost dying. It took three months to get my health partially back before I took a three week work-out-hard-everyday trip to New Zealand and Hawaii to be back in great physical shape before going back to the laboratory and resuming my career.

After the life-altering experience that I had undergone, I decided to quit being a scientist at the age of 25 and have never held a job since. I have always owned my own companies, including during the 11 years that I lived in Japan. I have had a much happier and fulfilling life taking this course since I was 25 instead of the path that I had been on. I hope that I do not sound like the prototypical nerdy and never-smiling scientist from movie lore. Yes, I may be scary smart to some people, but I was never a prototypical scientist. I can be articulate when necessary and do have a sense of humor. High-strung moody screamer is NOT how those whom have known me over the years would ever label me. I guarantee whomever is chosen will enjoy working with me.

Lastly, being one who started wearing masks in February 2020, before the government told people to do so - and got really odd looks from people before the government caught up to ME - I am sensitive to the fact there are 500,000 needlessly dead in this country and counting, and with no end to the pandemic in sight. Social distancing and the means to not be in unsafe environments should also go without my saying. Your being engaged in any work with me will not endanger your health if you are already practicing mitigation protocols - as I am.
