Seasonal Head Cook

Seeking a full-time paid Head Cook for the upcoming summer season (June 16 through August 22, 2021) at Many Point Scout Camp, located near Ponsford, MN. We will provide full training. We’re seeking a team member with good attitude, beliefs, and behaviors. Compensation for the season is $8,000. Food and lodging are provided. Must have cooking experience.

General responsibility: The Head Cook is responsible for overseeing all kitchen staff, ordering product, preparing, serving, and cleaning up after meals. Previous cooking experience necessary. The purpose and goal of this position is to create an environment of a positive meal experience for campers, including first impressions by contributing to the efficiency and cleanliness, food in good taste, and general operation of the camp dining hall. Must have current Safe Serv certificate or willing to take the class to obtain certificate.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Prepare and serve meals for all participants

 Attend to dietary needs of participants

 Clean up dining hall before & after meals (wash dishes, wipe counters, sweep, mop, etc.)

 Assist with sending meals out to the other camps

 Assists in camp opening and closing procedures

 Order food product

 Supervise kitchen staff and operation
