Description:TPM: Manages the development and implementation of projects/programs requiring technical experience &/or education (IT/Engineering) to meet business process initiatives, process improvement, product launches, other strategies, and objectives. Analyzes existing project management methods to promote effective operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods. Conducts risk assessments, facilitates communication across operational groups and ensures compliance with the defined process and/or implementation. At the operational level, can conduct technical process analysis ensuring the proper management and implementation of changes to the production environment.
  • Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers
  • Initiates, plans, executes and controls project efforts that utilize technological solutions Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations
  • Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement, and integration
  • Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks 6-Reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identifies and gains allocation of project team resources; obtains business and information technology sponsor approvals; and coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project
  • Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures
  • Sets and manages client expectations, managing, and escalating issues and changes Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures
  • Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation
  • Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results
  • Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing a change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status
  • Takes responsibility for changes to applications software and systems environments to ensure that changes to the environment have been properly analyzed and adequately coordinated and do not adversely impact the company¿s ability to meet published customer service level agreements
  • Contributes to implementation success and technical system stability by using change methodologies that assure the reliability of business and operations information management systems
  • Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support stable change processing including performing a change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, validating production readiness, and communicating implementation status
  • Creates and applies project control techniques that reduce risk from changing technological infrastructure, hardware, automation, systems software, or applications systems

  • Leads medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision

Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline; some disciplines may only require an Associates degree. Generally 3 to 5 years experience in a related fields. Certification is required in some areas

Influence/People Leadership - Primary input to hiring, performance, and rewards decisions for a group of service, production, or support employees, perhaps assisted by subordinate team leaders or senior individual contributor employees; Primary contribution is supervising other people (rather than applying knowledge); Supervises support, production, and/or lower-level professional individual contributor employees directly or indirectly; Schedules work for optimum efficiency and productivity; Provides day-to-day work direction; Schedules and approves vacation and overtime; Maybe a project or process manager without direct reports responsible for influencing and coordinating with non-reporting resources

Supervision - Typically supervises non-exempt support, service, and/or possibly lower-level professional individual contributor employees

Span Of Control/Complexity - Activities may be more diverse and complex and/or may involve more than one shift or area OR may lead to larger, moderately complex projects/assignments

Decision-Making Authority - In conjunction with higher management, ensures that work is performed consistently with CCI policies and procedures Financial - Contributes to development of an operating plan, budget, and performance goals (revenue and/or expense) for the workgroup(s) managed and the department of which it is a part; May manage elements/portions of a department or project budget

Consequence Of Error - Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies, or unnecessary expenses and affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the people and/or the projects managed

Typical Problems Solved - Identification/application of solutions is more likely to be based on similar prior experiences, not on ingenuity; problems are generally clearly defined

Core Functions - Assigns and checks work; Provides guidance and training; Provides input to hiring, firing, layoff, promotion, reward, and other decisions; Manages overtime; Focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity, meeting service/productivity standards, and resolving operational problems and handling disturbances; Manages a small/medium size project team

Technical/Admin Work Performed - Almost fully focused on supervising service, production, or support work OR May manage a project or process that is more broadly defined of moderate complexity/scope

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Managing project deliverables and best practices for data collection, transfer, analysis, and storage to ensure product delivery and proper allocation of resources
  • Manage the data strategy for a connected suite of products, physical and digital
  • Providing fact-based credible challenges to project dates and assumptions
  • Providing a uniform approach to managing projects, a uniform structure and cadence for projects, and uniform reporting
  • Anticipate challenges, risks, and resource constraints and develop mitigating plans to prevent issues
  • Developing mitigation plans to align resources and personnel to address emerging risks
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Developing a test plan for functional prototyping and regulatory testing from the development phase through production
  • Developing evaluation metrics to assess project strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Writing project funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout its life cycle

Minimum?Skills and Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline desired (engineering, project management, decision sciences, analytics)
  • Experience managing projects with hardware, firmware, software connected devices
  • Deep understanding of data collection, transfer, analysis, and storage
  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills and commitment to developing further
  • Natural curiosity and tendency to question the status quo
  • Experience managing project deliverables across multiple teams

Preferred
  • Experience developing HIPAA compliant products
  • Experience implementing SaaS solutions that include hardware components/sensors
  • Experience with connected products, physical devices that gather data from users
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation and machine learning tools
  • Advanced degree preferred
