Construction Installer (shop and field)

We are a local construction company doing essential service projects!

Aluminum Products is seeking 2-3 installers to join our team of canopy fabricators and installer immediately. Our workers do both fabrication in the shop and travel across the country (paid for by us) to install structural steel/sheetmetal canopies all across the country (2-3 weeks at a time). Workers report to the Shop Manager for fabrication duties while home and report to the site specific Foreman while in the field. Opportunities to grow to foreman level. In the shop, installers/welders fabricate (cut, drill, weld, etc.) mild steel I-beams, plates, columns; break sheet metal flashings, fascia panels, decorative metal trim flashings, primer, load/unload supply trucks and tractor-trailers; and/or any other necessary duties to facilitate these activities. In the field, installers operate boom lifts, scissors, forklifts, weld and bolt structural steel (stick and wire); install roofing panels, gutter systems, fascia panels, signage; and/or any other necessary duties to facilitate these activities. We work at 17 ft in the air often. We are looking for reliable and responsible individuals who are motivated to learn our processes quickly, show up for work every day and can start work immediately.

-Competitive wages DOE with $3/hr "bump" while working out of town plus OT and travel pay

Requirements:

-Valid Government issued driver's license.

-Travel throughout 50 US states, occasionally for 3 weeks at a time.

-Physically able to perform heavy lifting and in multiple climate conditions.

-prefer 3 years construction experience.

-Pre-employment drug screen.

-Cooperative personality with good interpersonal skills to work with coworkers.

Preferences:

-AWS stick (SMAW) welding certificate but not required (we need nonwelders too).

- WABO stick (SMAW) certificate is a plus.

-Sheetmetal experience (cutting, breaking, installing).

-Steel erection experience and/or general construction.
