Description

We are continuously recruiting for seasonal openings for the position of Field Service Technicians and Machinists. Candidates will be experienced and trained in all facets of field machining practices and techniques. Candidates will be placed based on skill level.

Seasonal employment does not require relocation - Candidates must be able to travel to job sites both nationally and internationally

Knowledge and experience in the safe usage of portable machining equipment

Expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures

Must project a professional and positive attitude when interfacing with both internal and external customers

Travel required

Wearing of a respirator may be required on some projects

Maintain and account for all company assets while on a project

Ensure proper documentation of all field related activities as required by Service Manager

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and related technical skills in the area of Field Machinery equipment

Ideal candidate will have experience with pipe end prep equipment in the areas of grinding, machining, ID / OD mounted machinery, and precision measurement for bevel preps

OSHA 10 and TWIC is preferred and must be able to obtain

Minimum of 1 year of experience in the machining trades

Experience working with lathes, drills and other equipment

Ability to read precision measuring instruments

Extensive knowledge of machining equipment including but not limited to: O.D. lathes, I.D. lathes, drills, mills, beveling and pipe beveling

Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently

Projects may include climbing ladders and working on scaffolding

Bending, stretching and reaching and grasping in tight spaces are necessary on a regular basis

Constant use of hands to lift and hold heavy objects

Field conditions can be extreme with exposure to heat, cold, heights and conditions that require knowledge and ability to use a respirator

Must be eligible to work in U.S. without Visa sponsorship

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is primarily conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting and requires off site field work. The noise level is mild in the office and moderate to loud in the production areas and at job site locations. Travel to other company facilities and client locations required. Depending on the location and environment the climate can vary in areas of temperatures, exposure to fumes, solvents, chemicals, lubricants, and loud machinery. Position requires knowledge and use of Personal Protective Equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to travel globally to remote onshore and offshore job sites. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, anything over 50 pounds requires assistance. Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to safely use and demonstrate industrial tooling and equipment, hand tools, power tools. Must be able to use office equipment such as computers, multi-line phones, scanners, copiers, and paper cutters.
