Alumni Testimonials:

“I feel so lucky to have worked at MHYC the last three months! I loved my crew and all of the amazing memories we made. MHYC does a great job of making their employees feel like they’re kept in the loop and they’re also great at making others feel welcomed. Community meetings are always fun and you get to catch up with other crews. Everyone on our crew always felt like they were being heard and we overcame challenges this season that would have been a lot more discouraging if everyone hadn’t participated. BEST JOB I’VE EVER HAD. I’ve made soooo many great friends! It’s something I was becoming desperate for after being in a new town for only two weeks! I know I’ll remain friends with almost everyone on my crew.” – Ellen W.

“Mile High has taught me how to be more professional in a work environment, developed my saw skills and gave me a million amazing experiences… At Mile High everyone is themselves and can be themselves comfortably. It helped me learn to work with people who are very different from me and how to interact with those people kindly. It opened up so many opportunities for me that I can’t even take them all. It has also given me some of the best experiences of my life!” – Caleb B.

“It was an awesome experience…I am proud of learning trail maintenance and building rock steps. I learned how to take feedback, because I am not perfect, and no matter what there is always room for improvement. I realized I am an adult and I’m the one that has to make the rest of my life great!” Teeah T.
